The Islamic Tradition that Feeds Those in Need

“That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known days over what He has provided for them of cattle. So eat of them and feed the poor.”

The Holy Qur’an, 22:28

Distribution

We prioritize our meat distribution first to local orphanages, street children, students of knowledge, hifz students, and impoverished families who have not eaten meat for months on end. Meat is a rare delicacy for these people and your gift will make an immense impact. Each donation you make has an impact in the fight against hunger: You can feed between 7 and 10 families in need with one, single donation. They get the meat … you get the reward!

Methodology

We strictly abide by all the Fiqhi rulings prescribed by the Sharia for the correct and preferred method of slaughtering the animal and will send a report with pictures back to the client once the slaughter has been completed.

We list all the names of clients that have purchased an animal. We label or tag the animal with the client’s name and location and the name is read out loud to the butcher just before the slaughter. As such, each animal must have a name tag and this must be done before slaughter or at the latest when brought into the slaughter area.

Time and Location

Your Qurbani & Udhiya price includes all the costs and is performed in Afghanistan. Livestock are pre-allocated and paid for, and must be hygienically and ethically treated. They are then sacrificed during the 10th – 13th days of Dhu al-Hijjah based on the client’s time zone.

Animals are sourced locally, to support the local economy. You must reserve your Qurbani as early as possible.
